Find it by photo
Upload a picture and get the closest matches from indexed sellers, ranked by how similar they look.

Typing out what a piece is called only gets you so far. Half the time you don't know the seller's name for it, and "black nylon crossbody" comes back with a few hundred things that are almost right.
So we added photo search. Give it a screenshot or a product shot and Yupoodex compares it against every image in the index, then puts the closest matches first.
How to use it
Open the catalog, switch the search bar to image mode, and upload a photo (or drop one in). Results reorder by how close they look, and the usual filters still stack on top: brand, type, color, price.
It works best with a clean shot of the item on its own. A busy flat-lay with five products in frame will throw it off, so crop down to the one thing you're after.
What's behind it
Every image gets turned into a fingerprint when it's indexed, and your upload gets the same treatment. The matching runs on those fingerprints, not on filenames or tags, so a listing with a useless title still turns up when the photo lines up.
Coverage isn't total yet. Older items are still being backfilled, and anything without a fingerprint won't show in a photo search (it'll still come up in a normal text search). We're working through the backlog.
